FANCY A MCPIZZA?

McDonald’s is now serving PIZZA… but only in these two locations

Pizza was a fixture on the McDonald’s menu in the 1980s and was available until the late ‘90s

THEY’RE renowned for their burgers and skinny fries.

But now McDonald’s is branching out into other takeaway treats by selling pizza.

The cheese-laden feasts are currently only available in two locations in America – Pomerory in Ohio and Spencer in West Virginia.

The McPizza has proved so popular that fans travel from around the country (and sometimes further afield) to try it.

Pizza was a fixture on the McDonald’s menu in the 1980s and was available until the late ‘90s.

They were eventually removed from sale due to the 11-minute cook time, which went against the company’s “fast food” philosophy.

Those lucky enough to get their mitts on a slice have been sharing photographs on social media.

One fan wrote: “Today was a good day, had McDonald’s pizza for the first time in almost 20 years which also means I’m very old…”

While another added: “It was worth the nine hour drive let me tell you.”

Last month we reported the fast food giant is now serving McFlurry ice-cream in giant buckets.

McDonald’s outlets in France are offering gigantic portions of the soft-serve treat and have dubbed the new offering a ‘McFlurry Party’.

The super-sized pudding has been given the ‘party’ moniker because it comes with four empty cups and spoons, so you can share it out with friends.

The enormous tub comes with a lid so you can take it home if it can’t be eaten in one sitting.

McDonald’s is offering bucket-sized McFlurrys in Kit Kat and Speculoos (cookie butter) flavourings.

The McFlurry Party launched in France in November, and has also been seen in Spain.

Meanwhile, McDonald’s has revealed it is planning to take on popular high street coffee shops like Starbucks, Costa and Café Nero by re-branding their McCafe range.
