Gran knits a shark blanket for her grandson – but the end result is hilariously inappropriate

A CUTE pensioner lived up to the stereotype by knitting her grandson a handmade gift… but everyone was left giggling at the final result.

Hoping to keep up with the fashion, the trendy granny decided that a shark blanket would make a cool present for her primary school-aged family-member.

The meticulous nan had gone to the trouble adding intricate details to the shark creation, including sharp teeth and a dorsal fin.

But sadly, this proved to be her undoing, as the present ended up being a laughing stock when her grandson climbed into it.

To the hilarity of his whole family, the fin stuck up in a VERY inappropriate place – and it’s likely the boy didn’t even know why everyone was laughing.

Since a snap of the awkward moment was shared on Imgur, it’s been viewed over 79,000 times and racked up dozens of comments.

One internet user said: “Grandma is freaking awesome can she make me one? I don’t have a grandma anymore can she be mine?”

Another agreed: “I want a shark blanket”.
