THE Simpsons have ridiculed Donald Trump’s first 100 days as President in a new clip.

Producers of the popular animated series certainly haven't held back with the controversial segment, which is highly critical of the US leader.

The gallows humour starts with White House press secretary Sean Spicer hanging from a noose with a sign saying “I quit” and Kellyanne Conway quickly running away declaring that she doesn’t want his job.

Then we see White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and senior adviser Jared Kushner at each others throats - literally.

Mr Trump however seems to be happy with the progress he has made in his first 100 days in office — which is officially on Saturday.

As the character sits on his bed, he appears to be scrolling through his favourite social media platform as he addresses the audience.

He says: “100 days in office.

"So many accomplishments: Lowered my golf handicap; my Twitter following increased by 700; and finally, we can shoot hibernating bears. My boys will love that,"

And The Simpsons' writers weren't done yet with mocking the Trumps.

They then cut to a scene where Ivanka Trump was given Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat on the Supreme Court while showing off her fashion line.

Marge and Homer watch the chaos ensue from the safety of Springfield - but it seems that the presidency isn't having a great effect on them either.

As Marge shakes her box of anti-depressants, she glumly exclaims: "This was suposed to last me the whole four years."

Although it appears that Homer is more sympathetic towards Trump, the character still jibes: “Marge, please give the President of the United States some time - he's only 70 years old!”

It's not the first time The Simpsons writers have surprised viewers with their cutting satire.

They recently took aim at rival cartoon South Park with a funny couch gag.

And they shocked the world by making these eerily accurate predictions.
