Mum fails to notice her son has swapped his photograph for one of Kim Jong-un

The laugh-out-loud prank has been retweeted more than 59,000 times

IN North Korea it’s supposedly mandatory for all citizens to have a picture of their supreme leader Kim Jong-un on the wall.

But in Britain it’s not really encouraged – unless you’re pulling a hilarious prank on your mum.

Jake Slater, from Derby, told how his brother had swapped a photograph of himself that was hanging in the hallway with one of the 33-year-old dictator.

Taking to , he wrote: “My brother’s changed his photo on the staircase to Kim Jong-un and my mum still hasn’t noticed after 2 weeks.”

The laugh-out-loud image has been retweeted more than 59,000 times and liked by over 142,000 social media users since it was uploaded on 5 May 2017.

But, it’s not the first time this trick has been played.

Nigel Cain responded with his own signed picture of Simon from The Inbetweeners, writing: “I did a similar thing with this picture in our kitchen, no one noticed for ages.”

Sam Henley added: “My brother put a picture of Nigel Farage in a family photo at my mum’s and she didn’t notice for weeks.”

Maggie Hiller said she had been a victim to the Kim Jong-un photobomb, saying: “My son did that on April 1st.

"Husband and I didn’t notice either. He must just have one of those faces?!”

Users called the prank “brilliant” and said it “cracked me up good”.

The Sun Online has contacted Jake for comment.

Meanwhile, a woman got her revenge on a wannabe Casanova after sending him on a hilarious wild goose chase to Buckingham Palace.
