BLOOMING MAD

Instagram is obsessed with this floral eyeliner craze… so would YOU stick flowers on your eyelids?

Beauty bloggers are celebrating summer’s arrival by painting and sticking flowers on their face

Forget the flower crown, this summer everyone is obsessed with floral eyeliner.

Beauty fanatics are painting flowers across their eyelids using bright summer colours accessorised with glitter and gems.

Some are even gluing petals and plants to their faces to create the look.

The bold, but intricate, new craze is sweeping Instagram just in time for the summer festival season.

Getting it right takes time and patience though.

Instagram make-up artist got over 1,700 likes for one of his careful handy-works.

One fan commented: “Omg I can't even walk down the stairs in the morning and he is off doing this???”

Some more hasty beauty queens skipped the intricate decorating and opted for creating flowers with stick-on gems, while others fixed real petals on their lids.

Some make-up lovers even tried the look on their noses.

To achieve this bohemian look, pick some bright summer colours.

Many bloggers recommend Urban Decay and NYX Cosmetics.

Liquid eyeliner is probably the easiest way to achieve the intricate details the look requires.

Alternatively you can use a small paint brush and some pastel eye shades. You may also find a (clean) dotting tool from your nail art kit or cotton bud useful.

Start by applying a base eye shadow colour, such a subtle brown or pink.

Then pick a bold summer colour. Start on the outside of the lid and paint three or four dots as petals.

Work along your lid painting the petals to create as many flowers as required.

Once completed, fill in the centre of the flower with another colour, such as yellow.

You can also add small green leaves behind the flower petals with a tap of green.

Once you have got a basic lid-full of the flowers, get creative and take your flowers where ever you wish.

This is not the only bold  make-up trend this summer.

An army of beauty bloggers are turning to yellow blusher, while others are embracing dragon brows.
