What is the latest UK weather forecast for the May spring bank holiday?
TODAY is the second bank holiday of May, meaning lots of us might be planning on outdoor activities or a trip to the seaside.
But will the sun shine carry on shining for the spring bank holiday? Here's all you need to know...
What is the UK weather forecast for this spring bank holiday?
Brits spent their Friday basking in the sun on the hottest day of the year so far.
However, on Saturday morning thundery downpours struck on the south coast of the UK, with poor conditions moving north during the day, although temperatures remained high.
Weather is set to remain deeply unsettled from Sunday, with heavy rain moving from the south towards the north east as the Bank Holiday draws to a close.
Some regions of the UK are set for briefly torrential thundery downpours, with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning across parts of southern England and Wales.
The warning, which means the public should "be aware" that the weather could affect them, has been in place since midday Sunday and will last until 4.00pm today (Bank Holiday Monday).
When are the next bank holidays?
The summer bank holiday takes place on the last Monday in August – this year August 28.
This year’s Christmas bank holidays will fall on Monday December 25 and Tuesday December 26.
