Last minute episode change of The Chase leaves viewers baffled as subtitles go wrong

FANS of The Chase were left scratching their heads this evening after the planned episode was cancelled and swapped for a repeat.

They said: "In a change from the advertised episode we're after some Chaser action today”.

But to make matters more confusing, the subtitles for the episode weren’t changed, leaving many viewers baffled.

One viewer wrote: "The Chase has 'changed today's programme from the one advertised' but is showing subtitles from the original one!"

Another posted: "The subtitles are all wrong because the episode got changed last minute."

Someone else said: "You got the wrong subtitles for the episode.”

In the episode that was shown, Mark Labbett, aka The Beast, was seen lashing out at one of the contestants, telling her she “didn’t deserve” a higher offer.

He was heard telling 23-year-old translator Sarah from Woking: “Well, she didn’t get a good offer because she did so badly!”

In the end, The Beast managed to outrun Sarah’s team with plenty of time to spare on the clock – even managing to swipe away the £13,000 they’d made throughout the game.

The Chase is on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
