FANS of The Chase were left on the edge of their seats during Friday's show, which saw The Vixen lurch to a dramatic victory despite being unwell.
Friday's episode of the hit ITV game show saw Ash, Zoe, Chris and Sam take on a chaser who was a little under the weather.
Fans of The Chase tore into professional quizzer The Vixen after she fluffed some early questions, although there was a reason why she wasn't at the top of her game.
The chaser, real name Jenny Ryan, was helpless as estate agent Ash slipped through the net, bringing back £3,000 for the team.
Next up, drama teacher Zoe faced down the Vixen, and came back with another £3,000.
Although the Vixen managed to catch Chris, final competitor Sam, a recruiter, managed to get home with a further £4,000 after the chaser fluffed up the penultimate question.
Sam was asked: "what do humans do 12 times an hour to preserve lung function, often without realising?"
The recruiter correctly answered "sigh", although The Vixen - bizarrely - went with "yawn".
And things got even worse for the chaser when the three competitors looked as if they were set to best her in the final round.
Fans took to Twitter to slam the chaser's performance, with one writing: "Ooo, she's having a mare".
Other fans chipped in to say she was having an "absolute shocker", whilst another viewer said The Vixen was no threat to the team of three.
The Vixen finally upped her game to win despite her disastrous performance, which resulted in her fluffing five questions and being pushed back three times in the final round.
But with just five seconds to go, the chaser reached the 17 correct answers needed and stopped the team from claiming their £10,000 prize.
Despite her eventual victory, The Vixen was ready on Twitter with an excuse, writing: "You might have noticed I wasn't particularly well during tonight's episode - but Doctor Quiz got me through!"
Thursday's episode proved to be just as eventful, although fans couldn't stop fixating on a "thick" maths teacher, who was mocked mercilessly on Twitter.
In the previous episode, fans were baffled by dodgy subtitles, which went wrong as a result of a last minute episode change.
