We test Emily Veg Crisps, Nakd Cocoa Coconut bars and drinks to help you find new ways to get your five portions a day of fruit and vegetables
As one in four adults in the UK fail to eat enough salad, we try out novel ways to help you reach your target
WE are apparently becoming a nation of salad dodgers with one in four adults in parts of the UK not getting their five-a-day.
There are now some brilliant ways to get one of your portions.
Today we’ve tried them out.
And, as it was National Kissing Day this week, we tested lip treatments...
Crisps
These Emily Veg Crisps are lovely.
Containing dried French beans, sugar snap peas and black edamame beans, they are made in a pressure cooker to reduce the absorption of oil and to keep the nutrients, colour and taste.
Just 95 calories per bag and one of your five-a-day. I’ve stocked up on them.

Drink
ReJuvenate is a new greens powder that you mix with water to get THREE portions of fruit and veg.
It is a blend of dried veg, cereal grasses, herbs, algae and fruit.
It also contains several strains of dairy-free probiotics for gut health, natural fibre and berry antioxidants.
It tastes a bit earthy but is much more palatable than others.

Chocolate
These new Nakd Cocoa Coconut bars don’t look the most appealing but they taste divine.
They mix rich chocolate with a tropical taste of coconut, meaning they are gorgeous and not sickly sweet.
Each bar has just 133 calories and one of your five-a-day.

BUDGET – Lip Line Restoration Treatment
(£19.50 for 9ml, )
Claims to be a robust cream that targets the vertical lines found on the upper lip line and helps with elasticity, firmness and softening.
It felt quite drying on my lips and left a chalky coating.
But it definitely softens the lines around your lips.
MID-RANGE – Image Skincare Ormedic Balancing Lip Enhancement Complex
(£25 for 7ml, )
Claims to enhance the appearance and volume of lip contours with an ultra-hydrating, anti-ageing lip enhancement complex.
It looks just like any other dinky salve but my lips felt moisturised and plumped.
Expensive, but I loved it.
LUXURY – Arcaya Volume Lips
(£75 for 10 x 2ml ampules, )
Claims powerful hydrators and circulation-boosters banish wrinkles and restore youthful contour.
It comes in a glass ampule which some people may find terrifying to snap.
The solution felt very watery and made very little difference to me.
