FRIDAY is World Chocolate Day.

Hurrah! It isn’t something you would normally relate to health but a study this week showed that a moderate chocolate intake could have huge benefits for your heart.

But don’t go mad – they recommend two to six servings per week.

Today I look at healthy chocolate and test facial cleansers.

Imagine the most indulgent, rich chocolate-and- cream pudding without the guilt.

Well, the Coconut Collaborative has cracked it. Its Little Choc Pots (£2.50 for four) are dairy and gluten-free, also vegan.

They are packed with vitamins and minerals and contain only 105 calories.

Every bar of Doisy and Dam chocolate (£1.75 for 40g) has a maximum of eight ingredients, a minimum eight per cent superfoods and a high cocoa content, keeping it as sugar and fat-free as possible.

It’s amazing. I wasn’t a huge fan of chocolate until I tried this.

I loved the vegan goji & orange bar. Delicious.

If you’re a gym bunny with a sweet tooth, these protein balls (£14.49 for ten) are great.

Made from soy protein isolate, they look like Malteasers but are smaller and crunchier.

I liked the fact they weren’t too sickly.

Gatineau Gentle Silk Toner leaves your skin clean and refreshed

A soothing, alcohol-free solution which claims to rebalance the skin, leaving it clean and refreshed.

I wasn’t keen on the smell of this one – it was far too floral for me – but it did take away make-up residue.

It had a slight tingling effect, too.

MID-RANGE – Dead Sea Spa Magik Pro-Toner

£13.95 for 260ml,

Hydrating and refreshing. Leaves skin invigorated, soothed and revitalised.

It has a light, fresh scent, which I loved. My face didn’t feel tight after use, just clean and plumped up.

For once I didn’t feel as though I had to immediately put on moisturiser. My favourite.

BUDGET – Garnier SkinActive Naturals Aloe Toner

£3.49 for 200ml, Boots

Garnier SkinActive Naturals Aloe Toner has a light, pleasant smell

Garnier has just launched a new range of products that lists the natural origin of all ingredients so you can clearly see what you’re putting on your skin – great for allergy sufferers.

This had a light, pleasant smell but left my skin feeling tight.
