Travel blogger Amelia Liana is accused of doctoring her globe-trotting pictures… but can you see why?
Eagle-eyed followers have spotted a few things that are amiss with her snaps
A TRAVEL blogger who posts pictures from beauty spots around the world has been accused of faking the snaps - but can you see why?
Amelia Liana – who has 450,000 followers – was caught out by eagle-eyed viewers who spotted something missing when she shared a picture of herself in New York on her Instagram page.
A snap of Amelia at the Taj Mahal in India also raised suspicions, but can you see why?
Followers noticed the ever-present tourists crowds were missing and scaffolding currently up at the attraction was gone.
They also pointed out that her shadow stopped too abruptly and claimed she had ADDED a flock of birds.
One commented: “It's actually ridiculous how much you photoshop your content. The fact that you've EDITED IN these birds.”
Another posted: “This is hilarious. So badly edited.”
Other posts causing an issue include two with ice-cream in the foreground, claiming to be in Florence and New York.
On the Italian ice cream picture, a commentator wrote: “No problem with editing your instagrams, but when you edit them as much as you do you're straight up lying to your followers. Just shows that some people are far too obsessed with having an ‘instagrammable’ lifestyle...”
Next to the New York cone, another wrote: “How is this possible?! That ice cream place is nowhere near where you ‘took the pic.’”
Amelia told The Times: “I have lots of loyal followers that I consider my friends and I would never cheat on them by putting myself in a picture where I wasn't in a natural location.
“I do strive to present my photographs in the best possible way but always remain faithful to my followers by taking my pictures in real locations.”
The 26-year-old Londoner, uses her page to promote fashion brands as well as documenting her travels, and she recently revealed all the amazing products in her beauty room.
