Mum slams stranger who tried to send a live GUINEA PIG through the post to his daughter… then abandoned the pet when staff refused

A MUM was horrified when she saw a total stranger trying to post a LIVE Guinea pig to his daughter - who lived 100 miles away.

The dad then apparently abandoned the pet, which was shut in a shoe box, when staff refused to accept his request yesterday.

 FlySayer99, who lives in the North West of England, said it was "a live Guinea pig".

She added: "He wants to send it to his daughter who lives about 100 miles from here.

"Post Office man tells he he can't because it will be hurt/killed/escape etc and post office won't accept live animals.

"Man argues, throws a tantrum and storms off leaving the box and the Guinea pig on the desk."

FlySayer99 was in the Post Office with her son and daughter, who were so "upset at (the) poor guinea pig being abandoned" that their mum offered to take it home and look after it.

"It had air holes in it and some hay but no water or proper food," she added.

"It's a boy Guinea pig so I've told the kids we are calling him (postman) Pat."

No one can believe that the man expected to be able to post the pet.
