Vegan teen struggles not to laugh after being served THIS salad in a restaurant in Spain
Georgina Jarvis discovered that the idea of not eating any animal products isn't easily translated
BEING a vegetarian abroad is always tricky... but here's the proof that being vegan is even WORSE.
Georgina Jarvis, 19, was astounded by what she was served for dinner during a trip to a Malaga restaurant with her family.
Her sister Gabbie, 17, of her looking dumbly at a plate of chopped tomato and onion along with the caption: "Out for tea and the restaurant claimed they catered for vegans, this was my sisters amazing vegan meal."
She later gave some extra background to the , which makes her Tweet even funnier.
Gabbie said: "We were out to dinner as a family.
"A member of staff came out to greet us and my dad asked if they catered for vegans.
"The man claimed they did.
"Georgina originally ordered a vegetarian pizza with no cheese but serving staff came out and told us shortly after that it had egg in it and she should look at the salads.
"When it arrived, me and Georgina shared awkward eye contact and I couldn't help but laugh."
Her horrendous dinner has got plenty of other people laughing too, and so far the tweet has been liked more than 45,000 times and clocked up 11,000 retweets.

She later that "vegans can eat more than raw veg" along with a pic of her sister eating a cheese-less pizza - her original dinner choice on Sunday.
Gabbie also confirmed that her sister DID eat her €7 (£6.30) plate of onion and tomatoes.
She added: "Georgina has been a vegan for three years and she usually has a good selection of foods to choose when out in restaurants in the UK.
"She is used to eating raw vegetables and she was hungry so she ate it all but asked for a bread roll to accompany it (no butter)."
One cheeky twitter user asked what her "problem" was, as technically she was served a vegan meal.
Gabbie hit back: "It's raw tomatoes and onions on a plate, what isn't the problem?"
