Gran, 70, who claims her incredibly youthful looks come from sugar-free diet slams ‘jealous’ trolls accusing her of plastic surgery… but refuses to deny rumours
A SUPER fit gran who credits her youthful looks to a sugar-free diet has hit back at "jealous" trolls who accuse her of secretly having surgery.
Carolyn Hartz, 70, is the founder of Sweetlife, who sell a range of products using Xylitol sweetener, and the author of Sugar Free Baking.
The gran-of-four was targeted after appearing on This Morning earlier this summer, where she said she kept the weight and age off by ditching sugar 29 years ago.
Speaking about the trolls Carolyn, from Perth, told : "I'm sad for people who are jealous and who post comments like that.
"I actually don't read Twitter, my son told me about the comments. I do not judge anyone on what they do or do not do."
But the mum-of-three also admitted to having some degree of cosmetic work. "Yes I've had maintenance, I've never had Botox," Carolyn explained.
"Every good person needs it, like a good car or a house."
Now, appearing on an Aussie TV show Sunrise earlier today, Carolyn refused to deny the surgery rumours.
AGE IS JUST A NUMBER You’ll never guess how old these people are – prepare to be stunned by their real ages
"Other people's opinions are not my business," . "I don’t need to defend myself, I’m not going to do it."
She added: "What is the point in having a shiny fresh car on the outside and a bad engine on the inside.
"This is about good health, well-being, attitude, my sugar free lifestyle and getting to where I am now at 70.
"You don’t get here without being healthy, without working hard and having a great attitude."
