CONFECTIONARY founder John Cadbury was born on this day in 1802.

Over the years, the manufacturers of all things sweet have launched countless different releases.

From caramel, to fruit and nut, the possibilities are endless.

As the product line is chopped and changed to keep up with the demands of the public, some retro favourites have been lost over the decades.

Customers have been pining for the nostalgic choccies to be given a second chance.

Here are nine of the most-loved Cadbury's products that have been discontinued...

Dairy Milk Tiffin

This bar is packed full of raisins and biscuits and has been a firm favourite for decades.

Chocoholics campaigned hard to get Cadbury Dairy Milk Tiffin back.

And it looks like their complaints have been heard - as 80 years after it was first launched, the sweet treat is reportedly set to make its return.

Milk Tray bar

Indulging in a box of Milk Tray in front of the telly remains a popular British past-time.

But do you remember Cadbury's Milk Tray Chocolate Bar?

The shaped chocs were moulded together into one big super-bar.

Strawberry cream, fudge and Turkish delight were among the delicious delights to make up the concoction.

Time Out

The Time Out consisted of two wafers, which were joined with milk chocolate ganache and covered in Dairy Milk.

It hit our shelves in 1992, but later discontinued due to poor sales.

Fuse

Cadbury combined nuts, raisins, fudge and cereal pieces in this unusual bar.

Following a dip in sales, the choccies were taken out of production in 2006.

Taz

The Taz was a small caramel bar that rivalled Freddos.

Cadbury's were onto a winner when they came up with the idea of putting Dream chocolate into the centre of their Flake bars.

White choc addicts loved this delicious bar, but sadly it wasn't able to catch the original when it came to sales.

After launching in 2000, the product was eventually discontinued in 2008.

Cadbury's Marble

The melt-in-your-mouth creamy goodness of the Marble tantalised tastebuds across Britain.

It was a sweet blend of praline, milk and white chocolate.

The unique pattern on top gave the bar its name.

Spira

Customers that wanted a bit more texture to their bog standard Dairy Milk could reach for a Spira.

A packet contained two separate chocolate bars that were twisted for added fun.
