Who is Connor Newall?

Connor Newall grew up in Glasgow and his plan for life would have seen the lad end up in the military.

He admits that he was quite lucky find his new career: “I’d probably be on tour of Afghanistan right now getting shot at in some dusty trench if I never became a model.”

However, the young model is no stranger to conflict - his cousin Andrew Newall was killed in a knife attack when he was just 22.

It was just a coincidence though when the Scottish Government signed Connor up to take part in a film about knife crime.

“Nobody knew until a year later that my cousin had been stabbed multiple times and killed."

It was on the back of this government film that Connor secured himself an agent.

How did Connor become a model?

Up until he was aged 16, Connor was never too interested in fashion and hadn't remotely considered entering the beautiful world of modelling.

One Saturday morning Connor was going about his business eating a scone when his agent Michael called him up - the rest is history.

“I’m the most ‘unmodelly’ model there. When you see other models compared to myself, they are all polished. But I don’t really do that, I’m not fashionable at all.

“My favourite brands were Nike AirMax trainers, Lacoste joggies and I kind of dressed like a wee ned."

Connors mum, Betty, is chief organiser for Connor and she is very passionate about her son's future career.
