Why eating fruit and veg could help you bag the girl of your dreams – and it’s NOTHING to do with getting a hot bod

BOYS, you may think your lashings of cologne are going to help you attract a lady, but you may want to change your diet first.
Eating more fruit and vegetables has been proven to make a man more attractive, and it has nothing to do with getting a hot body.
It is actually down to the smell of a man who eats a healthy diet.
Researchers from Macquarie University in Syndey, Australia found that women are more attracted to the sweaty scent of men who eat more fruit and veg.
It also found that the smells given off by men who eat fat, meat, egg and tofu were also preferred by the girls.
But a carb-rich diet, despite how delicious it might be, can leave a man smelling less than appealing.
Co-author Dr Ian Stephen "We've known for a while that odour is an important component of attractiveness, especially for women."
Experts found that a fruit and veg rich diet made a man's sweat have a more floral, fruity and sweet bouquet.
And a diet containing meat, egg, tofu and fat gave off a similar smell.
When we eat a lot of foods that are rich in colour our skin takes on the pigments responsible for that colour, known as carotenoids.
Researchers used a spectrophotometer, which highlights these carotenoids, to assess the men's skin to determine how much fruit and veg a man was eating.
They were then given clean T-shirts and asked to do some exercise.
LOVE IS IN THE HAIR This is how NOT shaving your armpits could actually make you MORE attractive to the opposite sex - and it is all to do with smell
Women in the study were then asked to sniff the shirts and rate their smell.
Dr Stephen added: "We asked the women to rate how much they liked it, how floral, how fruity and a bunch of other descriptors."
The results were fairly consistent.
Women preferred the sweaty shirts of the men who ate lots of fruit and vegetables.
When we sweat, the substance itself is odourless.
It gets its smell from bacteria on our skin.
So if you have an excess of bad bacteria, it is likely your sweat is going to smell worse, and if you have a healthy amount of bacteria, your sweat will smell less offensive.
