Remember Ren from Even Stevens? This is what actress Christy Carlson Romano looks like now

REMEMBER Even Stevens, the Disney TV show where a young Shia LaBeouf began his career and got up to mischief with his on-screen buddies?

The programme was a popular hit with kids in the 2000s, and many were a fan of his big sister Ren, played by actress Christy Carlson Romano, but what is she up to now?

In the show, Ren was a straight A student who often found her younger brother Louis highly annoying and also was many viewers’ first crush.

Christy continued to work with Disney when the series ended in 2003 and went on to voice another popular kid’s character, Kim Possible.

Now the brunette beauty is all grown up and is 33, married with a child, and has kept herself extremely busy over the years with TV, movie and voiceover work.

The star keeps her fans updated on her Instagram page, which includes numerous shots of her adorable family, which includes new daughter Isabella who was born last year.

Christy is also married to writer-producer Brendan Rooney, who she met while they were studying at Columbia University and married at the Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta in 2013.

As well as doing voice-over work, the actress also starred in Broadway shows such as Beauty and the Beast and Avenue Q.

And she’s made the transition from TV to films, starring in Deadly Daycare in 2014, The Girl in the Photographs in 2015 and Christmas with the Andersons in 2016.

She has even tried her hand at directing her first feature film, Christmas All Over Again, which was released in 2016.

There appears to be no end to the actress’ talents, as she has also penned her own novel, Grace's Turn, which was named the 2007 Teenage Book of the Year by the New York Public Library.

And in her spare time, Christy gives talks at youth coaching sessions and has played an active role in many charities such as Equity Fights Aids, Leukaemia Foundation and the American Heart Association.

While Christy has kept herself busy over the years, co-star Shia LaBeouf has had his fair share of time in the limelight.

Last year he married his long-term girlfriend Mia Goth in a low-key Las Vegas ceremony complete with an Elvis Presley officiant.

In 2015, Shia opened a call centre in Liverpool for three days for people to call up and speak to him about anything they wanted.

He also embarked on a road trip in June by tweeting out his co-ordinates for members of the public to pick him up and take him anywhere.

In New York, he watched his entire filmography non-stop for three days in reverse chronological order and invited people to join him.

Christy isn't the only Disney star to look a lot different years down the line.

Alyson Stoner played Sarah Baker in the chaotic family film Cheaper By The Dozen in 2003.

Of course she's changed quite a bit over the years, and is now 25 with a big social media following.
