Wetherspoons is adding vegan fake meat burgers to the menu in all of its pubs
WETHERSPOON is switching up its menu this week with the addition of its first-ever vegan burger.
The pub chain is rolling out the fake meat patty nationwide to 880 boozers after a successful trial in 40 branches.
The burger, made by meat-free company The Meatless Farm, is made from soya protein and is topped with avocado, salsa and rocket.
Spoons already does a vegetarian burger but this will be the first-ever vegan patty the pub has sold.
Like other “gourmet” burger options, the vegan patty comes with a side of chips and onion rings.
Wetherspoon has confirmed the new burger isn’t knocking another item off the menu.
They currently retail for £2.50 for two burgers and each one contains 203 calories per 100g.
