ICELAND'S Christmas advert has landed and it features some of our favourite characters from Frozen 2 discussing what they love most about Christmas.

The advert, which comes ahead of the Frozen 2 cinema release date of November 22, features Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven.

The advert begins with a child playing charades with his family at Christmas, with an Olaf toy in screen.

Then we suddenly get pulled into the land of Frozen and hear what some of Olaf's top festive things are.

The snowman acts out decorating the tree, presents and snowballs, while Kristoff guesses.

Next up is Elsa, who uses her magical ice powers to show the rest of the Frozen family her favourite Christmas pastime.

She says: "My favourite thing about Christmas is... a special meal that we share together."

Then we flip back to the young boy and his family sitting down to an Iceland Christmas dinner with beef, turkey, gravy, roast potatoes and all the trimmings.

The advert is likely to prove popular with families, especially those that are hotly awaiting the launch of the new film.

Last year, Iceland's Christmas advert was extremely well-loved, even though it was banned from television for being too political.

The ad, which was a revamped collaboration with Greenpeace, was designed to highlight the environmental impacts of palm oil use - and in particular the effect it has on orangutans.

It went viral online, and sparked a petition to return it screens that received well over a million signatures.

This year's offering is far less controversial, opting instead to go for a more festive family appeal.

It also breaks the recent trend of Christmas adverts tugging on heartstrings, as it is a more upbeat and jokey advert.

Alongside the Christmas advert, Iceland launched an exclusive range with Disney’s Frozen 2 including a Jumbo Olaf that is 1m tall, available in stores now for just £40.
