John Lewis Christmas advert merchandise – where to buy Excitable Edgar toy

JOHN Lewis has finally dropped its Christmas advert starring Excitable Edgar the dragon – and here’s how you can get your hands on your very own Edgar toy.

This year, the John Lewis offering follows the friendship between Edgar and a little girl called Ava.

The two-and-a-half minute long clip shows Edgar struggling to contain his excitement for Christmas – and his instinct to breathe fire.

But after locking himself away to avoid ruining the festivities, Edgar is given the perfect gift of a Christmas pudding by Ava to show that he can still play a starring role in the village’s celebrations.

John Lewis says the advert – which is its first joint one with Waitrose - is all about highlighting the “magic of friendship” and making “loved ones feel special”.

Like previous years, John Lewis has released a range of merchandise to go alongside the advert, all of which you can buy now.

Where can I buy an Excitable Edgar toy?

The cuddly Excitable Edgar toy is available to from John Lewis for £15.

The toy is around 30cm tall and like the rest of the Edgar range, you can get it online and in store.

But you’ll need to be quick, as previous John Lewis toys linked to their adverts sold out in record time.

In fact, fans ended up selling Monty the Penguin stuffed animal toys on eBay for hundreds of pounds after stock ran out so quickly.

You won't be able to buy the Edgar toy in Waitrose.

What else is being sold in the Excitable Edgar range?

Shoppers can also buy books, pyjamas and even Edgar cupcakes and chocolates.
