Morrisons is selling huge 19-piece fry-up breakfast for £5 today

MORRISONS shoppers heading to its cafe today can get a 19-piece breakfast for just a fiver.

The infamous "Big Daddy" brekkie usually costs £6, so you're saving £1 or 17 per cent.

If you can manage it, the fry-up includes three sausages, three rashers of bacon, three hash browns, baked beans, mushrooms, two halves of tomato, two fried eggs, two slices of black pudding and two half slices of fried bread.

In comparison, Asda has a smaller 12-item breakfast for £5, including two bacon rashers, three sausages, two eggs, two hash browns, one tomato, beans and mushrooms.

While Sainsbury’s has a breakfast with one fried egg, two sausages, two rashers of bacon, one hash brown, one fresh tomato, baked beans and toast for £4.25.

If you're a Tesco shopper, its "The Bigger Breakfast" costs a pricier £6.95 and includes slightly less with two sausages, two bacon rashers, two fried eggs, three hash browns, roasted tomato, baked beans and a choice of either fried bread or toast.

You'll have to go quick though if you want Morrisons' deal though as the offer is only available today.

Morrisons has 494 stores across the UK and 404 of these have cafés - use its  to find your nearest and bear in mind that breakfast is only served until 3pm.

But a word of caution for weight watchers as the 2,210 calorie meal is over the average recommended daily intake for women, which is 2,000 calories.

It’s also close to the recommended amount for men, which stands at 2,500 calories, according to NHS guidelines.

Tesco's Bigger Breakfast contains 1,190 calories, while it's 776 calories for Sainsbury's, and 1,171 for Asda.

Helen Tordoff, head of cafes at Morrisons, said: “We know Black Friday shopping can take a lot out of customers and hope that this Black Fry-Day Breakfast will keep hangry-ness at bay and fuel them through the highs and lows of the big day."

Morrisons first launched its Big Daddy Breakfast in May 2018.

And earlier this year it slashed the price from £6 to £5 - but it was for a limited time only.

In September, Morrisons launched a weekend breakfast meal deal for two where you can get 15 items each for £12.
