Asda is now selling a pigs in blanket sausage rolls for Christmas
WHAT'S better than a pigs in blanket? A pigs in blanket covered in flaky puff pastry.
This Christmas Asda has combined two festive favourites to create a pigs in blanket sausage roll.
It is made of seasoned sausage meat, wrapped in streaky bacon and hand rolled in puff pastry.
The sausage rolls are cooked in store and available now for 99p each.
It's not the first time that a supermarket has wrapped a pigs in blanket in pastry.
Last year, Tesco sold a similar product which is called "pigs in duvets".
The sausage feast, which cost £4, came in a festive-shaped wreath, so it could be cooked at home and shared at Christmas parties.
We've asked Asda for the nutritional info and dimensions and we'll update this story as soon as we know.
An Asda spokesperson said, “Our Christmas sandwich range is always popular with customers every year and this year we wanted to create something that’s also made for on-the-go eating and includes a family favourite – pigs in blankets."

In October, the meat industry warned that there could be a shortage of pigs in blankets due to a lack of festive workers who usually help put together more fiddly Xmas goods.
Rival supermarket Aldi is selling extra spicy pigs in blankets made with scorpion chillies this year.
