Matalan recalls Frozen light-up jumpers over fears toddlers could choke on parts of them

MATALAN is urgently recalling Frozen jumpers over fears they may cause a choking hazard for toddlers.

The sweater features character Elsa as well as a light-up silver snowflake embroidered on it.

The retailer is recalling the jumper as a "precaution" due to the small parts it comes with, meaning it's not suitable for children below three years old.

It's sold for kids up to the age of nine, but the product recall applies to the size suitable for children aged between two and three years old.

If you've bought the size 2-3, or if you've bought a bigger size for a child aged under three years old, Matalan is urging customers not to use it.

Instead, you should return it to your nearest Matalan store where you'll be given a full refund.

The retailer hasn't yet told The Sun how many jumpers it's sold and how much they cost, so we'll update this article when we hear back.

The bigger sizes are still available to buy on , with the prices starting from £14.

Last year, Matalan recalled kids' hat and mittens due to fears they could cause a choking hazard for children.

The retailer's also been forced to recall hundreds of cushions over fears they are a fire risk.

More recently, Argos recalled Cuggl stair gates that two-year-old girl got her legs trapped in.
