Tesco is recalling Cow & Gate baby food over fears the jars may have been tampered with

TESCO is recalling Cow & Gate baby food over fears that some of the jars may have been tampered with.

The supermarket is warning parents not to feed the food to children as it may pose a safety risk.

Tesco is recalling 15 flavours of Cow & Gate baby food

Tesco is recalling 200g jars of seven months plus Cow & Gate baby food, in 15 different flavours.

The jars being recalled are:

  • Cow & Gate Butternut Squash Chicken & Pasta 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Courgette & Hake Rice 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Creamy Cauliflower Cheese 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Garden Pea & Turkey 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Potato Spinach & Beef 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Potato & Turkey Roast 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Spaghetti Bolognese 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Succulent Pork Casserole 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Tasty Cottage Pie 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Tomato & Courgette Pasta 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Yummy Harvest Chicken 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Apple Crumble 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Banana Crumble 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Peach Apple & Kiwi 7+ months 200g
  • Cow & Gate Rice Pudding 7+ months 200g

This recall only involves these varieties sold in Tesco stores in the UK.

All best before dates are being recalled.

No other Cow & Gate, Tesco or branded baby products are affected.

If you have bought one of the recalled jars, do not feed it to your children.

Instead, you can return it to the store you purchased it from for a full refund.

You don't need the receipt, just take the jar to any Tesco store and you'll get your money back.

The withdrawal is a precautionary measure, but if your child has eaten some of the baby food and you are concerned you should contact your GP or a healthcare professional.
