Amazon is selling a box of 48 Creme Eggs for £16 – that’s 33p each
IF you're already stocking up for Easter you might want to check out Amazon's egg-cellent deal that can see you snap up 48 Creme Eggs for just 33p each.
The online retailer has discounted a massive 1.92kg box of the to £15.80 from its recommended retail price of £27.84 - a saving of £12.04.
That means you're paying just under 33p per 40g egg, which is a bargain when you consider Sainsbury's and Tesco are selling the same size Creme Egg for 50p each.
And Morrisons is selling them for an even pricier 60p an egg, while Asda doesn't have any on sale yet.
That said, is also selling a pack of five Creme Eggs for £1.65 and a for £3.95, which would also take the price per egg down to 33p.
This was the cheapest price for multipacks being sold by the major supermarkets.
If you don't need quite so many choccy treats, the only other retailer we could find selling Creme Eggs at this price individually was at Aldi, which was selling 33p Creme Eggs as part of its "Specialbuys" earlier this month.
But as with all of the discounter's Specialbuys, once it's gone, it's gone - so there's unlikely to be much stock left in stores, and they weren't sold online.
The only thing to watch out for with Amazon is that unless you have Prime or you top-up your order to £20-plus, then you'll have to pay £4.49 in delivery costs on top.
That takes the price per egg to 42p an egg.
Also bear in mind that one egg contains 177 calories - an adult man should have around 2,500 calories a day while it's 2,000 for a woman.
