M&S is selling chilli and cheese hot cross buns for Easter
IF you like things a bit spicy, you might want to try M&S' new cheese and chilli hot cross buns.
The hot twists on an Easter classic are made with West Country Farmhouse Cheddar, caramelised and dried fried onions, dried red and green jalapeno and chipotle chillies, with Worcester and hot pepper sauces.
Not for the faint-hearted, M&S has given the hot cross buns a two-chilli rating.
The supermarket recommends serving the spicy buns toasted and buttered, with cheese.
Alternatively, it suggests using them for a delicious Easter brunch bun filled with bacon, fried egg and avocado.
Available immediately, the hot cross buns will usually set you back £1.50 for a pack of four, or you can get two packs for £2.50.
But between now and Saturday 1st February, M&S is running a flash sale with packs selling for just £1.
That means each hot cross bun costs just 25p.
If those hot cross buns sound a bit too spicy for you, M&S also has sweeter options in the deal.
There's the usual luxury hot cross buns but also salted caramel, marmalade, blueberry or Bramley apple flavoured buns.
M&S even has a "made without wheat" version for people with gluten allergies.
The retailer currently has 959 stores across the UK, including 615 that only sell food.
