M&S Love Sausage is coming back for Valentine’s Day
THE infamous M&S Love Sausage everyone wanted to get their hands on last year is back and hitting shelves for Valentine's Day.
At £6 for 458g (that's £1 more than last year), the heart-shaped pork sausage has a hint of truffle, is wrapped in smoked bacon and comes in a handy baking tray.
And the classic is going to be joined by a new little friend when it hits shelves on Friday February 14 2020 (Valentine's Day) while stocks last.
The Give a Little Love Sausage is a twin pack of heart-shaped, truffle-infused pork sausages that are ideal for breakfast.
Enjoy on top of muffins, crumpets, or simply crack an egg in the middle and serve - because as we all know, love comes in packages of all sizes.
Last year the original Love Sausage sold out in minutes with customers queueing to grab one of the truffle-infused treats.
It even became a social-media star with many sausage lovers hashtagging their #LoveSausage.
Some Instagrammed snaps of their successful purchase and the delight on their partner's face when giving or receiving.
It also trended on twitter and received over 30k likes on M&S social channels in the first few hours.
Phillip Schofield tucked into one live on This Morning and it even crossed the Atlantic featuring on Late Night with Seth Meyer in the US.
Kirsty Rowley, the product developer for Love Sausage said: "Love Sausage mania swept the UK and beyond last year, and it was a huge hit with our customers.
"There may be some imitators this year (the sincerest form of flattery) but I am happy to say the original and BEST is back!"
Asda are also getting in on the sausage fest with their own interpretation of Extra Special love heart Cumberland bangers.
The supermarket claims the meaty length is perfect for a "cosy night in" and are available now in Asda’s 630 supermarkets until March.
