MARS Wrigley is recalling some pouches of its Revels chocolates due to fears that they may contain pieces of metal.

The possible presence of metal makes the chocolates unsafe to eat.

The specific products being recalled are 101g pouches with a Best Before Date of 31 January 2021.

There are two batch codes affected: 006C2SLO00 and 006D1SLO00.

Mars says that no other Revels packs are unsafe, and that none of its other product lines are affected.

If you have bought one of the affected packs - do not eat the chocolates.

Instead you need to contact the Mars Wrigley Consumer Care team to arrange to return the product for a full refund.

You can call on 0800 952 0084, email at www.mars.co.uk/contactus or get in touch by post at Freepost Mars Wrigley Confectionery UK Ltd.

Mars said: "This precautionary recall has been initiated with the best interests of our consumers at heart.

"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused."

Affected packs should no longer be available to buy at any UK stores.

Usually Revels are sold at most corner shops, on Amazon and at all major supermarkets including Tesco and Morrisons.

Mars Revels are the confectionary version of a lucky dip – you can never be sure which flavour you’re going to get.

The flavours include raisin, orange, coffee, Malteser, chocolate and toffee.
