Which shops are open today during coronavirus lockdown?
SUPERMARKETS and pharmacies are remaining open as they are deemed "essential" in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
Costa Coffee, McDonald's and Primark all closed before the March 23 announcement that all "non-essential" shops must close their doors.

What did Boris Johnson say about stores remaining open?
On Monday, March 23, Boris Johnson said only supermarkets, newsagents, pharmacies, pet supply shops, banks and post offices can stay open.
The new measures which will change every aspect of Brit lives included:
- All gatherings of more than two people in public were forbidden – meaning a ban on all social events, including weddings and baptisms
- Tens of thousands of non-essential shops were ordered to close
- Communal play and exercise areas inside parks will also be shut down, but not parks themselves
- Places of worship such as churches and mosques must also shut, except to host for funerals
And travel on roads, trains and buses was also banned, unless it’s essential to get to work.
Anyone breaking the rules will be fined at least £30 - and up to £1,000 if they fail to self-isolate.
Most chains haven't said when they're expecting to open again - but the Prime Minister said the rules would be reviewed in three weeks time.
It comes after cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants were closed on Friday, March 20.
Takeaways such as McDonald's and KFC have also had to close.
Government has advised people not to leave the house without good reason.
Which shops and chains are open despite coronavirus?
The Government ordered the closure of all non-essential stores in the United Kingdom.
The list of stores allowed to remain open is as follows:
SHOPS ALLOWED TO STAY OPEN
ONLY a small group of retailers will be allowed to stay open, they include:
- Supermarkets
- Pharmacies
- Vets
- Newsagents
- Pet shops
- Hardware stores
- Retail shops in hospitals
- Petrol stations
- Laundrettes
- Undertakers
- Banks
- Post Offices
- Off licences
- Public toilets
- Credit unions
Some of the UK's biggest retailers are still figuring out ways to adapt to the new measures - with hardware stores offering click and collect or home delivery only.
Some stores are operating at reduced hours, so it's best to check with your local branch before visiting.

Are shopping centres open?
Most of the major shopping centres are still open at the time of writing, although some stores inside are likely to be shut.
Bluewater: The Kent shopping centre, which has 330 stores and services, is open for business today. However, non-essential stores within the centre will close. Waitrose in Bluewater is also closed, despite being a food store.
The following stores remain open: Marks and Spencer Food Hall, Boots including their Pharmacy, Superdrug, and Holland and Barrett.
Intu: Intu owns 13 shopping centres across the UK including its large Lakeside site in Essex. The majority of their shopping centres appear to be open, according to its website, but the company says opening times may be different due to the coronavirus epidemic. A large number of shops will also be closed. Contact your nearest shopping centre to find out more.
Westfield: There are two Westfield shopping centres in London. Both are still open, although Westfield says restaurants, cafes, gym, spas and cinemas are closed, along with a large number of shops. All non-essential stores within the centre are closed.
