Are pet food shops open or delivering today? Pets at Home, Fetch and Petshop.co.uk coronavirus opening times update

PET owners and animal lovers will still be able to shop for food for their furry friends during the coronavirus crisis.

It comes as pet shops were listed as “essential” retailers that should remain open across the UK.

  • Is Pets at Home open?

    Yes, Pets at Home stores are open although the company has now put measures in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

    The retailer says only a small number of people will be allowed into shops at one time, and you may have to queue outside while you wait to get in.

    The number of shoppers allowed in will vary depending on the size of the store.

    Pets at Home has also introduced what they're describing as "sensible purchase limits" although it hasn't said what restrictions are in place.

    Pets at Home veterinary practices are also currently open as normal.

    If you'd rather shop online, the Pets at Home website is still taking new orders, although delivery times are currently delayed.

    A message on the website reads: "Due to high demand, orders may take up to 14 days to be delivered."

    Pets at Home charges £2.95 for delivery on orders under £39.

    Orders above this amount are free.

    You can also still click and collect, but items may take up to 14 days to arrive in stores.

    Fetch has temporarily shut its online shop

    Is Fetch still delivering?

    Fetch is the pet food store from delivery giant Ocado.

    Sadly, Fetch has temporarily closed its online store to catch up on existing orders.

    The company hasn't said when it expects to be up and running again.

    Delivery from Fetch is free when combined with your Ocado order, or £6.99 on orders under £29, or £4.99 for orders over this amount.

    Is Petshop.co.uk still delivering?

    Yes, Petshop.co.uk is taking on new orders, although shoppers should expect delays to their delivery.

    A message on the website reads: "Due to a high volume of orders, deliveries can take up to 14 working days."

    The majority of items still appear to be in stock on Petshop.co.uk, but this might not necessarily be the case.

    The pet supply company charges £2.99 for standard delivery on orders under £19.99.

    Orders over this amount are free.
