Aldi launches £24.99 essentials home delivery food box for vulnerable and self-isolating customers

From tomorrow, April 17, the supermarket will be selling parcels containing food and essential items.

They'll only be available online, meaning Aldi shoppers won't find them in stores.
The parcels will be limited to one per customer.
Delivery from Aldi is free on orders under £20, so customers won't need to pay extra to get these sent to their home.

The Sun couldn't find prices for all the products included online, so we can't give a total figure for how much the parcels are worth if buying everything individually.
We've asked Aldi if they can give us accurate prices for each item and we'll update this article when we know more.
The supermarket says it's asking customers who can shop in stores, to leave these parcels for shoppers who can't leave their home.
Does Aldi have item restrictions in place?
THE supermarket lifted all its item restrictions on Monday, April 13.
Previously, Aldi had four item limits across every product after Brits began stockpiling due to the coronavirus crisis.
The restrictions were first introduced on March 15.
Most limits were dropped on March 31, while restrictions on beer, wine, spirits, and nappies came off on April 2.
The final limits to be lifted were restrictions of four each of hand wash and shower gel, and 12 units of wine or spirits per online order.
Its restriction on UHT milk has also been removed.
Fritz Walleczek, managing director for corporate responsibility at Aldi said: "We are committed to providing quick, safe and affordable access to food for all our customers and understand that, for some, visiting one of our stores is not an option at the moment.
"We’re constantly looking for new and better ways to support our customers in these uncertain times and I’m hopeful that these food parcels will make life a little easier for some of the country’s most at-risk people."
Aldi is following in the footsteps of other supermarkets who've also started selling food boxes to help vulnerable customers.
Morrisons' version costs £35 and contains 20 items, while M&S' boxes are also £35 and are filled with 20 items.
If you can shop in-store, Aldi has recently extended its opening times so customers have longer to browse.
As opening hours vary between shops, customers are advised to check the to see the most up-to-date opening times.
The change in opening hours comes shortly after Aldi said it would stop selling some of its famous Specialbuys in the middle aisle of stores.
