MCDONALD'S is to reopen for delivery and drive-thru orders in mid-May, according to reports.
Maccies fans were left gutted when all 1,350 restaurants were temporarily shut on March 23 due to coronavirus.
But now the fast food chain is working on plans to reopen according to the .
Before closing all branches, McDonald's was still taking takeaway and drive-thru orders.
To help keep staff and customers safe, the restaurant chain had shut off seating and children's play areas.
It had also started using sticky tape to mark out boxes on floors to indicate safe distances.
News that the chain could be set to reopen comes as:

McDonald's addicts queued for up to three hours when a handful of restaurants reopened for drive-through meals in France earlier this week.

A spokesperson from McDonald's confirmed it is working on plans to reopen but that a date had not yet been agreed.

Most McDonald's restaurants remain open in the US and all are open in Australia where they are only allowing takeaway, drive through and delivery services.

KFC has reopened 15 branches for delivery and takeaway orders only, while 20 Five Guys chains are now open for delivery and click and collect.
Burger King has also followed suit, although it's only reopened four branches for now.
