Morrisons is selling unicorn Angel Delight kits

MORRISONS is selling unicorn Angel Delight kits so you can make a magical version of the pudding at home.

The powdered dessert is whisked together with milk to create a delicious, sweet, mousse-like pudding.

Normally, you use just one sachet of Angel Delight per pudding but with the unicorn version you'll need to make three layers to get the magical effect.

The puddings are made from three layers - a light pink base layer, followed by a dark pink one and then topped with a white mousse.

The kits even come with sprinkles so you can decorate it with the final mystical touches.

Of course, no food can actually taste of "unicorn" so instead the Angel Delight is strawberry flavoured and, unlike the usual packs, contain colour changing specks to make it even more magical.

Here's how to cut the cost of your grocery shop

SAVING on your shop can make a big difference to your wallet. Here are some tips from Hannah Maundrell, editor of Money.co.uk, about how you can cut the cost of your shopping bills:

  • Write yourself a list – Only buy items that you need. If it isn’t on your list, don’t put it in the trolley
  • Create a budget – Work out a weekly budget for your food shopping
  • Never shop hungry – you are far more likely to buy  more food if your tummy is rumbling
  • Don’t buy pre-chopped veggies or fruit – The extra they’ll charge for chopping can be eye watering
  • Use social media – follow your favourite retailers to find out about the latest deals
  • Be disloyal – You may want to go to different stores to find the best bargains
  • Check the small print –  It’s always worth checking the price per kg/lb/litre when comparing offers so you’re making a like for like decision as a bigger box won’t necessarily mean you get more
  • Use your loyalty cards – Don’t be afraid to sign up to them all. They all work slightly differently – work out what bonus suits you better and remember to trade in your points for additional rewards

Each pack serves four and will need to be kept in the fridge and eaten within 24 hours of you making up the pudding.

Each kit weighs 95g and cost £1.60 - that's £1 steeper than if you bought a single pack from Morrisons which costs 60p.

Even if you buy the different flavoured layers separately, you wouldn't save any money as they're currently on offer for two for £1, so three would set you back £1.60 too.

These kits are currently only available in Morrisons - and you might not want to hang around either as the normal sachets, including butterscotch, strawberry and chocolate flavours, have all sold out online.

If you can't get enough of the colourful trend, you'll be pleased to know that you can pick up tubs of unicorn ice-cream cones at Asda.

Even Mr Kipling makes unicorn slices - a multicoloured version of its angel slices.

Some might say that the unicorn trend is over and now it's all about the LLAMAS - even Smarties is on board.
