Homebase reopens all of its stores – here’s where to find your nearest branch

DIY retailer Homebase has reopened all of its branches after closing during the coronavirus pandemic.

It means there are now more than 160 open Homebase stores in the UK, with the DIY chain following in the footsteps of rival B&Q by reopening its sites.

Homebase revealed its remaining UK stores were set to be reopened for customers to browse and shop from May 2.

Homebase CEO Damian McGloughlin said: "It has taken a tremendous amount of hard work and commitment from our teams across all parts of the business, to ensure we are ready to safely welcome customers back through our doors.

"I'm extremely grateful for the dedication shown by every single team member, and to our customers, for the huge support and understanding."

Homebase stores will be opening with "strict controls" in place to keep staff and customers safe.

Stores temporarily shut due to the coronavirus crisis at the end of March, despite Homebase being named as an "essential" retailer.

It continued to operate an online-only business, with the Homebase website remaining open for home delivery orders.

Click and collect was initially available, with customers having to pick up items at the front of closed shops, but the retailer has temporarily stopped this option because of high demand.

As the retailer operated an online-only business, it meant customers couldn't browse and shop in stores.

The majority of stores are open 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

As some branches will differ in their opening hours, customers should use the to check the most up-to-date information.

Homebase has around 160 stores in the UK.

Homebase isn't the only retailer to start reopening branches - Wagamama is reopening four kitchens for delivery-only.

KFC has also started reopening restaurants - so far there are 15 branches open for delivery.

Meanwhile, Burger King has just reopened another eight restaurants.
