Morrisons is selling a £55 meat box filled with steak and sausages and you can get a delivery to your door

MORRISONS has started selling a meat box that you can get delivered straight to your door - and yes, it contains steak.

The latest food box from the supermarket is also filled with sausages, bacon and mince.

Customers will also receive pork and gammon joints with their order.

However, if you’re able to get to your nearest Morrisons, you can pick up this bundle cheaper if you buy each item individually.

Altogether, the items in this food box come to £53.23 when buying separately - a saving of £1.77.

MORRISONS shoppers will get the following items in their The Best Meat Box.

  • Morrisons The Best Rib Eye 227g x2 (usually £6 each)
  • Morrisons The Best Hampshire Pork Loin Joint With Herb Crust Typically: 1kg (usually £7)
  • Morrisons The Best 6 Hampshire Breed Dry Cured Unsmoked Back Bacon 200g (usually £2.50)
  • Morrisons The Best Thick Pork Sausages 400g (usually £2.50)
  • Morrisons The Best Thick Cumberland Sausages 400g (usually £2.50)

But it could still be a good option for those who can’t leave their home due to coronavirus.

The meat box is an online-only item, so you won’t find it in stores.

Do keep in mind that you'll need to pay a delivery charge on top of your order, which will be between £1 and £6.

Supermarkets have been selling out of delivery slots at an unprecedented rate, so it might be worth contacting Morrisons directly if you've been classed as a vulnerable shopper.

All of the items included are from Morrisons’ The Best range, which is its luxury line of goods.

Morrisons isn't the only supermarket to launch food boxes - in fact, has launched an almost identical meat box and it costs £10 less.

The M&S version is priced at £45, although you only get two steaks in their box, compared to the four you get from Morrisons.

Aldi has also started selling food boxes online for £24.99.

This one contains a range of essentials, including handwash and toilet roll, as opposed to just meat.

The Morrisons essential items box costs £35.

Morrisons has just under 500 stores in the UK.

Morrisons has just expanded its Deliveroo range and it now includes beer and wine.
