Seven changes McDonald’s fans should know for when restaurants reopen for delivery
MCDONALD’S is reopening 15 restaurants for delivery next week - but there are some changes Maccies fans need to be aware of.
Hungry diners who’ve been missing their fix of Big Macs and fries were delighted when McDonald’s finally announced 15 stores would start taking orders again on May 13.

The reopening will be limited to delivery orders only though, see the full list of locations here.
It comes after McDonald's temporarily closed all 1,350 restaurants on March 23 due to coronavirus.
Before the shutdown, the fast food giant was still accepting takeaway and drive-thru orders.
The restaurant chain had also closed off seating and children's play areas, and it also started using sticky tape to mark out boxes on floors to indicate safe distances.
Here's what you need to know for when restaurants reopen.
Reduced menu in place
McDonald's has confirmed it'll have a reduced menu when restaurants reopen.
The limited options still include fan favourites, such as Happy Meals, Big Macs and McNuggets.
But the bad news is, there will be no breakfast items - this is down to the new opening times, which you can read more about below.
The limited menu is necessary for staff safety, as the reopened restaurants will have fewer staff working at one time.

What items are included on the reduced McDonald's menu?
MCDONALD'S has confirmed it'll be running a reduced menu when restaurants reopen on May 13.
This is because the chain will have less staff working at one time so they can maintain social distancing measures.

New opening times
The newly reopened restaurants will be open from 11am to 10pm, each day.
Breakfast is usually only served until 11am each day, hence why there are no McMuffins or bacon rolls on the reduced menu.
McDonald's opening times have always varied, with some being open for 24 hours before the coronavirus lockdown.

Delivery only
For now, customers will only be able to order their grub via Uber Eats.
That means you won't be able to eat in, as restaurants remain closed for the public to enter.
Hungry diners also can't order food for click and collect via the My McDonald's app.
When ordering your food from Uber Eats, keep in mind you'll be charged a delivery fee per order.
This will vary depending on how far away from the restaurant you are.

New staff safety measures
McDonald's has confirmed a number of new safety measures to help keep workers safe.
Before each shift, staff will have their temperatures checked to make sure they're fit for work.
Workers are also being given gloves and face masks to wear, plus there will be perspex screens in kitchen areas.
Under government guidelines, staff will also be asked to maintain a safe two-metre distance.
Strict cleaning regime
All stores will be deep cleaned before reopening, McDonald's has confirmed.
Staff are also being expected to increase their usual hygiene routine, including washing their hands at least every 30 minutes.
Slower deliveries than normal
As only 15 restaurants are reopening, and delivery is the only way to get your food, McDonald's is expecting to take a lot of orders next week.
With this in mind, the fast food chain says some deliveries may take a little longer to get to you than normal.
In a video posted to its Twitter page, McDonald's said: "We know we may not be as fast as usual, so thank you for your patience."
Contactless payments
You can technically choose to pay with cash via Just Eat and Uber Eats, but McDonald's is asking customers to use card and contactless options where possible.
This is so there can be minimum contact between customers and delivery drivers.
