Greene King to launch pub food delivery and takeaway service – see the full list
GREENE King has announced it’s launching a pub grub food delivery and takeaway service from next week.
Hungry punters will be able to order food from a handful of boozers via Deliveroo, or through click and collect.
Customers will also be able to order alcohol from a selection of bottles and cans.
The new delivery and takeaway initiative starts on Friday, May 22 - but it’ll only be available in a selection of Greene King pubs in London.
The full list includes 29 boozers that will offer a delivery service with Deliveroo, and 10 pubs that will provide click and collect.
It comes after the pub chain suggested its beer gardens could be the first part of their establishments to reopen, with customers ordering pints from their phones.

However, the latest advice from the government has warned pubs - along with hairdressers, cinemas and restaurants - won't be able to fully reopen until July "at the earliest".
Pubs and restaurant chains have been allowed to operate a food takeaway and delivery service.
Greene King has confirmed customers will be ordering from a reduced menu when its new food service starts, in order to cater for transportation needs.
The pub chain says this will include fan favourites such as beer-battered haddock fish and chips and roast dinners on Sundays.
Greene King has also introduced a range of safety measures to help keep staff safe while they prepare food.
This includes personal protective equipment, plus increasing hygiene routines.
Delivery drivers will also be asked to use separate entrances to help maintain social distancing.
When collecting orders, customers will have a one-way system in place and they’ll be asked to pay online before picking up their grub.
Social distancing markers will be in place, and there will be hand sanitiser stations at the entrances of participating boozers.
When ordering from Deliveroo, keep in mind that you'll have to pay a delivery fee on top of your order - this will vary depending on how far away you are from your chosen pub.
Click and collect will be available on the Greene King website - you won't be able to use the app to order takeaway.
Nick Mackenzie, CEO of Greene King, said: “We have selected pubs carefully for this initial roll out based on suitable layout of pubs as we ensure we not only adhere to all government guidance but further precautions we are choosing to implement too.
“It’s important for us that our team feel safe in the workplace so we have consulted them every step of the way, giving the option to return to work for those who work in these selected pubs if their personal circumstances allow.”
In addition, NHS and emergency service workers can get 50 per cent off food and drink at the 10 pubs which are offering collection.
You'll need to show your work ID to get the discount.
Greene King, which owns Hungry Horse, temporarily shut all 2,700 of its pubs on March 20 and they won't be allowed to fully reopen until Government advice changes.
Around 36,000 employees at the pub chain have been furloughed.
Its online store, where customers can buy beers direct the chain's Belhaven Brewery, remains open for orders.

Before lockdown, Greene King had had been trialling its home delivery service with Deliveroo, although it temporarily paused this service when the coronavirus lockdown kicked in.
Pub-goers have also been told they could be limited to three pints per visit once lockdown is lifted, under suggestions by a Government adviser.
