The electrical retailer closed all of its 308 stores across the UK at the end of March.

It's now making a gradual comeback, although it won't be business as usual.

Currys PC World is initially reopening the 131 stores as "Tech Help Hubs" for the first three days.

It means Brits with tech they already have can get free advice about the items, no matter where they bought them.

Customers will also be able to buy from stores if they need to, but Currys says it'll prioritise consumers with existing tech queries.

At reopened stores, the retailer will operate a front of store service from 89 stores, meaning customers can't browse in those shops.

Instead, you'll have to tell staff which product you want to buy by the entrance and they'll then collect it for you.

If you'd like a demo of the item, a Currys worker will escort you into store and show it to you.

Meanwhile, 42 of the reopening branches will be fully open. You can check out the full list of locations above.

From June 18, all of the reopened Currys branches will start allowing customers to browse and buy products as normal.

The retailer plans to reopen its remaining branches over the coming weeks.

In order to keep customers and staff safe, the retailer has introduced a wide range of social distancing measures.

These include limits on the number of customers allowed in store at any one time, plus a one-way system and floor-markings.

It'll also install safety screens at checkouts and service desks, while customers will be encouraged to use contactless payment if possible.

Shoppers will also be urged to request a product demo from staff, rather than touching the items themselves.

Customers can still order items on Currys PC World's website, with standard delivery offered for free.

Just keep in mind that delivery times may be delayed due to high demand.

Mark Allsop, chief operating officer of the retailer's owner Dixons Carphone, said: "Our three day ‘Tech Help Hub’ initiative is part of our commitment to put customers first – even customers that have previously chosen to buy their tech elsewhere.

"We’re pleased to be opening our stores slowly and safely across the UK & Ireland – and we will maintain extreme vigilance, constantly reviewing and improving our approach to safety in an ever-changing situation.

"Most importantly we’re proud of our colleagues themselves, people who continue to work hard to make sure consumers across the country get the tech they need safely.";
