CUSTOMERS at Next will only be able to pay using card as it reopens stores with new refund rules.

The retailer is preparing to reopen 64 shops on Monday.

It has already reopened 50 of its "home" department shops as permitted under government guidelines - and these are allowed to sell clothes too.

As a furter 14 will reopen by the end of the weekend it will have 64 in total open by Monday.

That means on Monday it will have 130 shops our of its 500 open on Monday.

Customers will have to queue outside shops as there will be a maximum capacity in each store - but this will vary depending on the size.

Once you're inside you will have to follow a one-way system marked using arrows around the shops.

One of the biggest changes is that customers will only be allowed to pay via card, so you won't be able to use cash.

It has also introduced a new contactless refund rules at every store. You can return items at the checkout and it will quarantine items for 72 hours before putting them back on the shop floor.

Changing rooms have to stay closed due to government Covid-secure guidelines.

Opening times will vary between shops, Next advises you check its website for your local one.

but it says items won't be 'on sale' in shops.
