Morrisons reopens its 402 cafes for takeaways including bacon sarnies and fish and chips

MORRISONS has reopened its in-store cafes for takeaway hot meals and drinks.

The supermarket is offering food such as fish and chips, bacon sarnies and an afternoon tea to take home across its 402 in-store cafes nationwide.

The new service includes all day breakfasts for £4.75 and a bacon or sausage sandwich with a hot drink for £1.95.

Meanwhile, lunch and dinner options include beef burgers and southern fried chicken burgers with onion rings, coleslaw and chips for £4.95, as well as 10-inch pizzas in a range of flavours for £3.

Fish and chips with mushy peas with two slice of bread and butter is also on the menu for £5.50 or two for £10 (£5 each).

You can also buy a kids meal of chicken nuggets, chips and a drink for £2.

As lockdown eases, other cafes, restaurants and fast food retailers are offering deliveries or takeaways to hungry Brits.

Greggs has reopened 800 branches for takeaway only this week.

McDonalds meanwhile expanded its list of reopened stores even further to 11 service stations for takeaway and click and collect.

And Costa has also reopened for takeaways, but it has a reduced menu.
