Poundland is selling Baileys ice cream cones – and they cost £1.50 for four

BAILEYS fans can now get their hands on ice cream cones tasting of the Irish cream liqueur at Poundland.

Setting you back just £1.50 for a pack of four 65g cones, it could be a welcome treat during the heatwave.

The Baileys cones are available in two flavours - vanilla chocolate and double chocolate - and also come swirled with a chocolate sauce.

The treats contain 0.3 per cent alcohol, but Poundland hasn't yet confirmed whether you'll need to be at least 18 years old and have proof of ID to be able to buy them.

They were spotted by Facebook page , who wrote: "My willpower gets weaker by the day.

"Pick these new Baileys Ice Cream Cones up for £1.50 at Poundland (and yes they contain alcohol)."

The post has racked up comments from ice cream fans with one user saying: "Add this to the shopping list."

While another added: "These look amazing!!"

Bag a Weekly Bargain said she nabbed the ice creams at Poundland's Walsall branch.

The retailer told The Sun the ice creams are available in the around 60 stores currently offering frozen food and treats as long as stocks last.

If you're keeping a close eye on your waistline, you'll want to know that the the vanilla flavour contains 189 calories per cone while Poundland is yet to confirm the calorie amount for the double chocolate flavour.

An adult man should eat around 2,500 calories a day while it's 2,000 for a women, according to NHS guidelines.

The Baileys cones aren't available in any of the UK's big four supermarkets, so you'll have to pop by your nearest Poundland store to get your hands on them.

Alternatively, if you live in Northern Ireland, is also selling the four-packs in stores but for a pricier £2.99.

In the last few years, Baileys has branched out into the dessert aisles and launched chocolate and coffee ice cream tubs.

It's also rolled out Baileys ice cream sandwiches.

Last year, Tesco was selling salted caramel and hot chocolate flavour Baileys cakes.
