McDonald’s is launching new Katsu nuggets and bringing back the Big Tasty today
MCDONALD'S is bringing back its Big Tasty burger and launching katsu curry chicken nuggets today - but only for a limited time.
The iconic burger and brand new chicken bites will be available from today (December 30) for six weeks so you won't want to hang around if you want to try them.
The Katsu nuggets, which were first teased last week, are made from 100% chicken breast and coated in crispy Katsu curry panko breadcrumbs.
To top it off, they're served with a sweet curry dip.
Like normal chicken McNuggets, the latest addition to the menu will be available to buy in boxes of either six, nine or 20.
Six nuggs will set you back £3.59, while nine cost £4.09. The massive sharing box of 20 McNuggets costs £5.99.
Six pieces usually cost around £3.19, £3.49 for six or £4.99 for 20.
The nuggets will also be available to buy as a meal but it's not clear how much these will cost.
Normally, a medium six piece McNugget meal will set you back around £4.69.
The nuggets are launching on the same day that The Big Tasty returns.
The burger was last available in McDonald's restaurants almost one year ago in January 2019.
If you've never tried one, the burger contains a beef patty, melty cheese made with Emmental, tomato, lettuce, onions and Big Tasty sauce.
You can get it as part of a meal with chips and a drink for £5.99, or £6.39 with bacon.
For a single burger, the price is £4.39 without bacon, or £4.89 with bacon.
You should also keep in mind that a Big Tasty without bacon packs 799 calories, while one with bacon has 850 calories.
The salted caramel Galaxy McFlurry will also be making a return, available in both regular and mini sizes.
The regular size will set you back £1.39, or it's 99p for a mini McFlurry.
Maccies prices do vary depending on the branch though, so you might want to check with your local before handing over your cash.
The new additions follow the end of McDonald's Christmas menu as branches stopped selling the festive specials yesterday.
Diners will be able to tuck into the Big Tasty or katsu chicken nuggets either in-branch, drive-thru or they can order them for delivery through Just Eat or Uber Eats, depending on where you live.
In some areas of the UK, branches are closed to sit-ins due to being placed under strict coronavirus lockdown measures.
For example, restaurants in Tiers 3 and 4 are only allowed to stay open for takeaways while members of the same household can sit inside branches in Tier 2.
Confused? Don't worry because we've put together a round up of all the rules for different McDonald's branches across the UK, including the Tiers system in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

It comes almost 18 months after the fast food giant launched limited edition spicy McNuggets to the menu - although not everyone was impressed with them.
