Aldi is selling a rattan garden tiki bar £100 cheaper than Asda’s
ALDI is selling a new rattan garden bar online from Sunday.
The tiki-style home bar, which is part of its Specialbuy's range, is nearly £200 making it £100 cheaper than a similar from Asda.
Aldi has confirmed the new rattan bar will be available to purchase online from May 9 for £199.99.
Specialbuys usually hit the shelves every Thursday and Sunday at Aldi, and this week the store is launching the bar online as part of the range, as well as a £20 drinks trug too.
The rattan bar has a grey wicker finish with stylish fittings and a black tempered glass top.
The bar also has shelves for storage including a metal frame to hang wine glasses from.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you - so don't be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
You'll have to keep in mind the extra £6.95 charge that it'll cost to have the bar delivered though, and there's no getting around that until at least May 16 which is when the bar will be in stock in stores.
On that date you'll be able to head to your local Aldi - which you can check with the handy available- and collect the new furniture set in person.
Asda has a but it follows more of a beach-y theme with a straw-look canopy unlike Aldi's fabric one.
And Asda's bar is £299, but the extra £99.01 means it comes complete with two stools too which Aldi's doesn't.
The only problem is that Asda's tiki bar is sold-out online and it won't be returning for a while yet, so if you're planning a garden get-together soon then Aldi's option might be better.
Studio.co.uk also has a tiki bar that bears a striking resemblance to Asda's but it's also sold out right now.
The identical garden set was also £100 cheaper than Asda's so if you are on the same budget then Aldi's upcoming stock launch might be your next best chance to bag the bar for a bargain price.

Aldi's specialbuys have been hard to come by this year and what's worse is that shoppers have been flogging the store's sell-out hanging egg chairs for double the price on eBay.
But other retailers have been hot to join the price war on garden furniture with Tesco selling an almost identical rattan garden sofa set to Aldi's, for 1p more.
