SWEETS lovers can get their hands on a new chocolate in their tin of Quality Streets this Christmas.

The choc-filled tubs will come with a fresh flavoured treat - but not all shops will have it.

Quality Streets has revealed a new chocolate and it features white chocolate for the first time in the sweets-makers 85 year history.

The Creme Caramel Crisp sweet is flavoured like a creme caramel custard dessert and contains crispy biscuit pieces too, all covered in a mix of milk and white chocolate.

You can only get your hands on the new chocs at John Lewis stores though.

The Creme Caramel Crisp is one of 12 Quality Streets which appear in the department store's pick and mix selection.

You can choose from the following sweets:

  • The Purple One
  • Orange Creme
  • Milk Choc Block
  • Fudge
  • Toffee Finger
  • Orange Crunch
  • Coconut Eclair
  • Caramel Swirl
  • Toffee Penny
  • Strawberry Delight
  • The Green Triangle
  • NEW Creme Caramel Crisp

The pop up pick and mix is available ahead of the retailer's Christmas shop launching in stores on October 18 (but y).

Shoppers can choose any of the sweets to fill up their tub, which you can get personalised with your name on the lid - or someone else's if it's a gift.

You can even choose just one type of sweet and avoid any flavours you don't like.

Quality Street brand manager Cat Mews said: "We know how much people missed our pick and mix stations at John Lewis last year, so we are delighted to announce that they are back for 2021."

She added: "Best of all, you can tailor the contents exactly to your liking, whether that means nothing but purple ones, a tin full of toffees or a feast of fruit cremes."

We've asked Quality Streets for the full list of flavours.

The personalised tubs will return to stores after going online-only last year due to Covid.

Personalised tins will also be available online at again this year - but they won't come with the new choc.

Previously there have been huge queues to get the tubs in John Lewis stores, with people even waiting two hours to land them.

It's not the first time that Quality Streets have launched a new choc.

Back in 2019 there was the Crispy Truffle Bite, which had a smooth praline centre mixed with crispy cereal bites, available only at John Lewis.

There was also the launch of the Chocolate Caramel Brownie sweet which is ow available in all tins.

The year before shoppers were outraged when John Lewis ran out of Purple Ones and Strawberry Delights.

The pick and mix stations will be available at 17 John Lewis stores, launching from today at its flagship Oxford Street branch and the other stores by the end of the month.
