Tesco launches half term Clubcard deals including cheap cinema tickets and days out

FAMILIES seeking half-term entertainment can bag cheap cinema tickets and days out with their Tesco Clubcard.

The loyalty scheme is offering money off for families on a raft of activities over the October half-term.

Clubcard members can triple the value of their vouchers and spend them on anything from cinema tickets to family days out.

You do this through the Reward Partners scheme, where your Tesco Clubcard vouchers are valid to be spent.

A 50p Tesco Clubcard voucher can get you £1.50 at Cineworld. While the average price of a seat in front of the big screen is around £6.75, it’s still a saving worth having.

We also recently looked at how you can get half price cinema tickets for a year by spending as little as £1.

Other places the vouchers can be spent include York’s Jorvic Viking Centre, where adult tickets are £12.50, and Chessington World of Adventures, where you can book a one-day ticket in advance for £34.

The vouchers can also be put towards tickets for a showing of Shrek! The Musical in London, a visit to Legoland Windsor, or admission to Alton Towers.

For more half-term inspiration, we’ve rounded up eight ways to entertain the kids that won’t break the bank.

How does Tesco Reward Partners Work?

Tesco recently scheme, and you now need to be a member of the scheme to get the best deals in store and online.

But you still get vouchers to spend as you rack up points, and these can be converted through its Reward Partner scheme to spend elsewhere - and get you more bang for your buck.

The value of the vouchers is up to three times higher when you spend with one of the partner firms.

For example, you can triple the value of your voucher when you spend it at Prezzo, Bella Italia or a Chef & Brewer.

Alternatively, the vouchers can be used on a Disney+ subscription or at Tenpin bowling.

But for families looking to veg out over Halloween and half term, there are plenty of deals to be had too. Tesco is selling two tubs of sweets, including Haribox Starmix and Swizzels Sweet Shop Favourites, for £7, for example.

It’s not the only store offering deals on treats. Iceland is selling three tubs of chocolates for just a fiver, as families look to stock up in advance on festive favourites.

Tesco shoppers can get 1 point for every £1 they spend either in store or online and 1 point for every £2 spent on fuel. Each point is worth 1p.

Points can also be earned by shopping elsewhere if you have the Tesco Clubcard bank account.

Points are turned into vouchers for money-off in store, but can also be converted with other retailers for days out or meals, and can be worth up to three times the value when exchanged in this way.
