Fans furious after McDonald’s menu item STILL missing despite promises to bring it back

MCDONALD'S fans are fuming that the Chicken Legend has not returned to the menu - despite promises that it would be back in January.

One Maccies lover called it a "national outrage" that the burger was still unavailable and another said they were "on my knees screaming crying" for it to come back.

McDonald's removed the popular chicken burger back in November to make way for the Christmas menu, which included the Festive Crispy Chicken.

Fast food fans were assured that it was only a temporary move by McDonald's and that the Legend, which comes in three flavours, would return.

Announcing the festive menu last year, Maccies said: "Whilst the Festive Crispy Chicken is on sale, McDonald’s will temporarily remove all Chicken Legend variants from sale in the UK.

"The range will return to the menu in January."

The Christmas menu ended on December 28 with the menu returning to normal - but the Chicken Legend remains missing.

Chicken legend lovers are demanding McDonald's bring it back and have aired their frustrations at the restaurant over the delay.

One angry customer said: "When are you bringing back the chicken legend @mcdonalds @msdonaldsuk this is a national outrage at this point."

Another said: "Please someone tell me when the hot and spicy chicken legends are coming back, its my favourite and I'm missing it"

"Right when is the chicken legend back I’m getting pretty desperate now," said a third, and someone else asked: "When is the chicken legend coming back I can’t take much longer."

Other Chicken Legend fans complained: "Where on earth is the chicken legend?!?!?!?!?!? It’s Jan 10 hun Christmas menu has been and gone."

And: "I am on my knees screaming crying for the chicken legend to be put back on the menu."

The launch of the vegan McPlant burger which is now available in all McDonald's branches in the UK, has added insult to injury for some fans.

"We get a McPlant but no chicken legend? Get a grip," one tweeted.

We've asked McDonald's when the Chicken Legend will be back on menus and will update when we hear back.

The Chicken Legend comes in three flavours: BBQ, cool mayo, and hot and spicy mayo.

Previously McDonald's diners were left distraught when supply shortages saw the Chicken Legend removed from menus.

McDonald's also angered customers in June after the hugely popular Chicken Selects vanished from menus.

And it even stopped serving milkshakes at their 1,250 UK branches amid supply issues.
