Shoppers are rushing to buy £1 engagement rings from Asda – and they’re stunned
ROMANTICS are shocked at this major supermarket's latest offer - engagement rings for just £1.
Asda is stocking the novelty jewellery in the run up to Valentine's day on February 14.
The silver ring comes with one diamond-style gem in the middle, neatly packaged in a heart-shaped box.
Customers can buy the ring online and in-store today ready to pop the question on the big day.
The news has sparked discussion on social media, leaving potential buyers stunned.
Some loved the idea and were quick to jump on the bandwagon.
One fan posted on Twitter: "ASDA selling engagement rings for £1. Come on lads get your engagement ring. You can tell her in six months time it costs two grand.";
Another Twitter user added: "What was I thinking buying you a £500 ring?"
It seems the ring is a budget-friendly way to show your love this Valentine's Day.
Catherine Fryer, events buyer at Asda, said: “With the average cost of an engagement ring in the thousands, we’re delighted to be bringing back our popular £1 ring as an affordable way for customers to propose this Valentine’s Day.”

Asda said it expects to sell around 40,000 of the rings this year.
This is not the first time the retailer has sold the jewellery.
It started stocking the item online and in-store in January 2022 as well.
Poundland started stocking its own £1 engagement ring last week too.
It first launched the Bling Ring range in 2019, sparking debate on social media.
