Valentine’s Day booze deals from Aldi and Morrisons including prosecco and champagne
VALENTINE'S Day is today and plenty of supermarkets are still offering deals and discounts on prosecco, champagne and more to help you celebrate.
But you have to be quick as most deals end tonight.
Valentine's Day always falls on February 14, but this year it means a loved-up Monday.
You may be at work for the day, but there's still time to scramble together a last minute gift, or stock up on a budget to celebrate the romance this evening.
Fizz fans can even pop open a bottle of bubbly for under a fiver, if they know where to shop,
You're in luck, as we've done the hard work for you to save a panicked search at the shops later, and found booze from as little as £4 on offer, so you won't have to break the bank.
Some supermarkets have even slashed the price of bottles of the celebratory plonk that come complete in a gift box, perfect if you do need that last minute gift idea.
It comes just as Brits are facing rocketing costs at the shops as a cost of living crisis sweeps the nation.

Boozers may even be hiking their prices too as they're also hit by impacts of the crisis - so if you were thinking of treating your date to a glass of something down the local, you might be forking out more than normal.
The cost of roses is on the up as well , and that's all down to growers facing energy price hikes of their own that stunted this year's supply.
So you could forget the flowers altogether this year, and opt for a cheap bottle of bubbly to keep your special someone sweet instead.
Luckily some supermarkets are still hosting some great bargains so you can stock up.
It's always worth having a shop around so you can find the lowest possible price.
Here's what's on offer:
Aldi Costellore Prosecco Frizzante
- Price: £3.99
Aldi has the cheapest prosecco going right now, as its bubbly costs less than £4.
Aldi's Costellore Prosecco Frizzante is only £3.99 for shoppers to pick up this Valentine's day.
The supermarket has confirmed that you can buy the bargain booze in store for the low price that is almost half of rivals'.
Morrisons Sorso Prosecco Spumante
- Was: £6.49 Now: £4.49 Save: £2 -
There's 30% off the Sorso Prosecco – meaning the bubbles cost less than a fiver at just £4.49.
It's the second cheapest in our round up and makes it at least a third cheaper than some of the pricier entries.
Luckily you can cash-in on the deal a little beyond Valentine's, as it's available at the under £5 price until February 15.
Lidl Allini Prosecco Spumante
- Was: £5.99 Now: £4.99 Save: £1 -
Lidl has also slashed the cost of its bubbly so shoppers can make a purchase and still get change from a £5 note.
The 75cl bottle will usually set shoppers back £5.99, but for a limited time Lidl has slashed the price by just over 15%.
It means shoppers save only £1 on the full price but it's still a great budget way to show your love on the day.
You've got a bit longer than today to cash-in on this deal too, as the low price will stay that way until Wednesday this week, February 16.
Asda Prosecco Spumante Extra Dry
- Price: £5.99 -
Asda's prosecco isn't the cheapest of the supermarket offerings as its lowest price is for a £5.99 bottle of Prosecco Spumante Extra Dry.
But you can take advantage of its latest 20% off deal - which is especially great if you were thinking of properly stocking up.
Asda shoppers can get 20% off three or more bottles of wine and prosecco today, so buying more than one bottle of bubbly from the store will mean you make a great saving.
Tesco Bella Cucina Prosecco Frizzante
- Price: £4.99 -
Tesco's cheapest Prosecco, the Bella Cucina Prosecco Frizzante, is advertised as an Aldi price match, though we now know that Aldi's comes in even cheaper.
Usually at the store you can take advantage of the Tesco Clubcard prices which can slash costs by up to 50% but you can't apply the loyalty discount here.
Like Asda's deal though, you can get on some of the other bottles, but you have to buy six instead - and you have to make sure you have the card to hand when you checkout.
Sainsburys Prosecco Frizzante
- Price: £6 -
Sainsbury's Prosecco Frizzante is one of the pricier bottles we spotted in supermarkets as it's £6 - but it's still a bargain compared to other bottles on the shelves.
The 75cl bottle is all vegan though, if you're looking for a more sustainable way to celebrate Valentine's this year.
Aldi Champagne Blanc De Noirs
- Was: £18.99 Now: £16.99 Save: £2 -
If you're looking for a loving gift, shoppers can opt for the Champagne Blanc De Noirs Gift Tube or Blanc De Noirs Gift Box from Aldi.
They're both reduced to just £16.99, down from £18.99 originally.

That means you can make a saving of £2 or almost 10% while nabbing a fancy gift complete with its own packaging, that your special someone will love.
The discount also takes the harsh sting out of the champagne being nearly double the price of Morrisons'.
