Warning as popular savoury snack recalled over salmonella fears
SNACKERS are being urged to return certain packs of pork scratchings over fears they may cause serious food poisoning.
Fresher Foods, which is behind brands including The Snaffling Pig Co, has issued a product recall on some of its products over fears they could contain salmonella.
It's the second recall from the company this month, as just weeks ago it issued a warning over some batches of its snacks.
Fresher Foods issued the recall for Openshaws, Pub Original, Awful Posh and Snaffling Pig products due to the possible presence of salmonella.
Salmonella can cause serious food poisoning, with symptoms including vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach cramps and a fever.
The recall concerns several batches of the company's products.
If you have purchased an affected pack, you should return the product to the store where you bought it and ask for a refund.
You don't need a receipt to get your money back.
